    Afternoon all.

Lovely to see you both posting JackieO and Molly.

Misty here today, fence round back lawn started this morning, so looking forward to letting the dogs out on their own, Mossy almost pulls me over when on lead and Bran ran across the road last night almost under a jeep....cant handle that stuff at present.

Dinner tonight will be bacon, cabbage, squash and mash.....had cheese toastie earlier, not hungry so dinner will be 5/6, bacon is cooking slowly at present.

A lmost finished yoke on baby dress when I realised that I had twisted it when picking up the stitches.....what an idiot! Have ripped an picked up stitches again so hope to finish to night.

    Have a good day all

  • Hello everyone.

I've been on MSE for a while, but I'm a recent convert to the old style forum, and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm disabled and have been recovering from surgery, and have always been too scared to cook! I'm now learning a few basic, simple dishes, as I'll be returning to work soon (albeit part time) and want to be able to help my hubby out with the cooking. I also want to lessen the amount of sugar in our diets, as hubby is diabetic.

I've found the recipes & money saving tips very helpful so far, and hope to be able to join in much more on the board in the future.

    Afternoon :)

Kids went back today, house is extremely quiet. I am sure I will get used to it ;) They only have another month before they're off again
Food shop has been done and put away, I've hoovers and dusted downstairs. Got washing to quickly hang before I drag Luna out again. I am sure I am gonna end up getting wet, typical since it's been dry all morning.

Not sure about tea, was supposed to be Cajun but non left. Might do savoury pancakes as hubby really liked them.

Right better walk the dog before the heavens open.

Hugs and spoons all round xx

Don't be sorry babe, my brain is mush and I haven't had brain surgery, so don't you worry about it ((((((Hugs)))))) xx

JackieO glad to hear that you are going from strength to strength xx

    Welcome aboard Starystarynight

Grey and damp here today and my knees are giving me hell, so no housework done.
My besty dropped in for a coffee earlier and we spent hours gassing, it was great to catch up :D

    Dinner tonight is freezer roulette.

DS was back at college today, but the schools here do not go back until tomorrow.

I need to go through some paperwork this afternoon, so that will keep me busy.

Didn't get chance to post this morning as I was rushing to get to work on time.Phoned MIL a while ago, she does have a tumour in her bladder, very aggressive, hubby's going to see her tomorrow, we're furious that the Dr fobbed her off for 9 months with antibiotics.
Work was busy but not loopy, but it will be loads worse tomorrow, I can't move for paper as there were 2 deliveries over the break.
I'm making a couple of dresses for the DGD to keep me occupied & stop me brooding.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

We watched Jamaica Inn. I found it very difficult to tell a word anyone said. I know they are going for authentic but had to have he tv up full blast and even then it still sounded like mumbling, why can't people enunciate:rotfl:
