Hi all,
I was hoping you could help,
I only have a windowsill so I use that to grow my herbs which is lovely except for the flies. There are lots of little black flies and I would like to know how to get rid of them without killing off the herbs.
i've changed the soil and got rid of the leaves where they had appeared to have set up camp as it were but am still killing a good number each morning.
Any ideas?
xx

How moist is the compost? Small black flies on indoor plants are often fungus gnats / sciarid flies, which prefer damp compost. Try letting the compost dry out a bit.0
