Congratulations minimii123, Excellent news. :T
Glad to hear you're spreading the word that it's not that hard to challenge these unenforceable invoices.
The more you tell the more money you're helping to stop them getting0 -
actually , the easiest thing to do is pass it to http://www.parkingticketappeals.org.uk/ and pay £16
the next easiest thing to do is fight it by appealing and learning the process like you , me , coupon-mad and hundreds of others have done and this is by far the cheapest method of getting a cancellation
the more difficult thing to do is to ignore it at the start and then get overwhelmed once the appeal deadlines have passed
sometimes it can be easy or difficult to get a landowner or retailer to cancel a ticket, but as you have seen it can be done
the stupidest thing to do is pay up because that encourages them to bully and lie to more people to pay for their exotic holidays and flash cars which is all based on no real contracts in place for the most part
you can see that with the lady that turned up in court today and got a no show from PE so the case was dismissed, probably because they ticketed her on a public road !
I have to say it did take me quite a while to get through and understand all the information on the forum. I was up till silly o'clock in the morning on some occasions and I did feel it was taking over my life at one point. That being said, I am grateful to the quick responses of help I received once I posted my letters of appeal. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted! I would say to anyone hesitating to contact the landowner/store MD/CEO in the first instance to try and get the charge cancelled - DON'T HESITATE - it may well save you having to go through the whole POPLA appeals process.0 -

Thank you ColliesCarer and all who helped with my letters & appeal. I felt really pleased with myself when I received the cancellation letter - you should have seen the victory dance when I opened the letter! :rotfl:0
