    Hi,

I know its not what you originally asked but toilet rolls of different heights taped onto a square of cardboard (cereal box etc) can be decorated by your little one and will sit on a desk/table.

Then when they are board of the design can be easily and cheaply made again :-)

    xx

Funnily enough she has one of these already. We covered the loo rolls in decorative paper and she uses it as a desk tidy. Works really well. :)
I just wanted something with bigger 'pots', thus the tin can idea. :)

You could cover them with sticky backed plastic and go over the top so covering the edge.

What about other containers, like the ones you get cocoa powder in? (supermarket own versions often have larger size tubs than the brand names) you can put the contents into a jar or something if you don't want to wait for them to be used up!

If you do use a tin, maybe glue some thick felt or denim around the cut edge - even the "no sharp edges" can-openers and ring-pull tins will probably still leave an edge of thin metal that would cut.

    RE: Pringles tube

Why not just buy one of the smaller tubes to begin with?

Cocoa powder tins are a possibility. Good call. :)

Smaller pringles tubes are more expensive I think than the bigger ones are, especially if I can get 2 from one big one ( I could be mistaken as I haven't bought pringles in a long time). Also, I've only seen really tiny pringles tubes, and I am not sure they'd be tall enough for felt tips. Is there a half size pringle tube?
