Good Afternoon
I was wondering how, and what is the best way to open a current account with joining bonus ie Halifax. It says i need to move across two dd. If i move my bank across i will lose the interest on my current account as i have only 3 dd. Is there anyway to increase this to be able to open more current accounts to basically get the joining rewards?
Also does a standing order class as a dd?
thanks in advance

To get the halifax bonus you have to switch your account, which will close the account you currently have and move all of your DDs over to them. There isn't another way to get the joining bonus with them.
A standing order isn't a DD, so that wouldn't work.0 -

Yes, just as you say, if you don't want to lose your existing account there's nothing to stop you opening another account, setting up a couple of DDs on it and then switching this to Halifax.0 -
