Anyway she has told me if I want to buy something worth £800 they will pay for it on their credit card.

I really need the money as I am quite skint myself but I don't personally want/need anything or things that would come close to £800. So I really don't want to buy something that I don't want.
My question is... what can I spend the £800 on with the intention of selling the items on Ebay/Gumtree/Amazon etc?

Amazon vouchers? Get this sorted ASAP it has every chance to drag on and on, even if you have to write off a little for the longer good.

Not vouchers for shops that are ailing. How about she buys you some premium bonds? Have them in your name and cash them in at your leisure.

I would hand her a letter before action tomorrow, also send her a copy through the post signed for.
She may then discover that she can withdraw cash from her CC.
Seems like she's lying to you again, http://help.barclaycard.co.uk/brochure/credit_cards/withdraw-cash
It doesn't say that some accounts can't withdraw cash.
She can gift you the money via Paypal, no cost to you that way.
