Wireless Internet Connection

Hi,
Really sorry about this but I would appreciate some help and advice. I'm absolutely useless at this kind of stuff.
I would like to set up a wireless internet connection at a location (a small house in a town where you can ordinarily get a mobile signal) where there is no landline. I understand that this is possible - I need a router (?) and, presumably this allows computers to connect to it with a password and it connects to the mobile network and allows data transfer. I assume that there could be various different payment schemes - eg monthly limitless, monthly limited, pay-as-you-go, etc.
I would like to know:
1 is the above essentially correct?
2 exactly what equipment I would need, how easy it is to set up and use, etc?
3 does anyone have experience of such and, if so, does it work in pretty much the same way as a landline, broadband connection?
4 what brands/spec should I be looking for?
5 is there anything to avoid?
6 what kind of cost are we looking at here?
I would be grateful for anyone's experience here because I have no idea where to start really - I really don't want to phone any phone companies without some idea of what I want/need etc.
Many thanks in advance

You would find it cheaper to get a landline installed along with a cheap ADSL broadband package. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I'm thinking a secondhand samsung galaxy or note phone to act as a hotspot and a £23 per month data all you can eat sim with 5000 txts and 2000 mins of phone from 30

The mifi should give you coverage, however you'll be hard to find a mobile package with a decent usage allowance. Three do 15gb per month. I use that in my ipad though and significantly more in the house fibre connection. I think on a quiet month we hit 50gb without too much bother. Mostly streaming TV etc that eats up all the data though.0
