Hexham Hospital (Parking Eye)

I was admitted to Hexham Hospital in September 2013, as it was just meant to be a drop of we took advantage of the free 20 mins parking, but due to the nurse wishing to explain certain things to my wife we overstayed by 35mins. We received a invoice for £40, I wrote to the company, Parking Eye explaining and that I wished to appeal offering to pay a full days parking. This was ignored and eventually I was taken to small claims court, in fact Parking Eye deny any contact at all, but I have a copy of the letter. Seems to me that parking charges are not the issue but lining their pockets is all that matters. I intend to go to court to defend myself on the grounds of decency if nothing else. I have never had to deal with such greedy people who's soul aim is money.

Please start your own thread about this - you need to acknowledge the claim form online within 14 of service stating you will defend in full - this then extends the time to 28 days from service to submit a skeleton defence.

I believe that my colleague already referred you to purchase Parking Pranksters guides and to come on MSE as sadly we only take on cases upto debt collector stage. Please also check out the links in the NEWBIE sticky thread at the top of the forum.

What on earth has this got to do with the thread subject?

And what have you learned about how to defend this, from the hundreds of other PE small claim cases on here and on pepipoo forum? You've posted on a very random thread and don't seem to have even read the NEWBIEs thread, top of this forum, which has a whole post #5 about small claims. And as for pepipoo forum, it's littered with PE small claims cases you could learn from, just by Googling 'pepipoo Northampton Parking Eye court claim'.

Your post has nowt to do with this thread and I am concerned you are defending this without doing the research even to get off a thread and to page one of current advice. YOU WILL LOSE if you defend 'on decency', come on, look at the advice & info on this forum (not on this thread)!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Welcome to MSE :hello:

I've moved your post into a new thread so all info and replies can be kept in one place. :)
  • As a side note there some waste land across the road from Hexham hospital in front of the old nurses accommodation. This is actually a pay and display car park that charges £1 for 24 hours.

More often than not the ticket machine is out of action so this is as good as a free car park!
I don't like getting old, but its better than the alternative!
