Current address not up to date

Both experian and equifax have my current address wrong. I moved about 1 year ago and everyone I have accounts with have been notified and I've made sure to register with the electoral role etc so it suite disheartening to be keeping on top of all my affairs only to see that I'm potentially penalised because they're providing creditors with the wrong information. I've emailed both but I don't have much faith it will be updated from what I've read they're a nightmare. My mortgage, 2 open credit agreements, associated parties and electoral role all show I'm living at my current address

Is the address you've provided to lenders valid? Is it on the Royal Mail website? Flats and calling your house a name you've made up can cause issues.

Are you saying they are still showing you at your previous address with your new address being a linked one?

    Or is your address wrong?

The first happened to me and I had to raise a support ticket with Equifax to update my address.

    Hi TClite

When a credit report is produced, it will contain all the information that we hold in the name at the applicant that the addresses that have been supplied. However, we do not advise lenders of what your current address is, we would just supply the information we hold for the name and address requested.

Lenders may use then use this information to help them decide that you are living at that you applied from, which is why it is important to ensure that your accounts are registered at your current address and you have registered on the electoral roll.
If you believe any of your information on your report is out of date email the details to met and I will be happy to look into it.

Many thanks all, it was rectified via an email. Quick response too. One final thing, now I'm happy with my report it's not obvious if there's going to be a recurring direct debit?
