Can I access digital TV (eg BBC3) for free through my PC?

Hi,

Does anyone know whether it is possible to access digital TV (e.g. BBC3) through my PC for free? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best, Rods

Not legally, if you have an aerial feed and a digital TV card in the PC then you can.

An external Freecom DVB-T USB Stick would also do. Connecting it to a rooftop/amplified indoor aerial is usually recommended. G

P.S. If you shop around you may be able to get it/similar for less

yes you can. This is the only legal way:
go to https://www.zattoo.com its the first true internet TV (IPTV) application and it carries all the BBC channels in very good quality. For some reason, when i posted this last week the mods deleted the post (mistakenly?)

yep, www.zattoo.com started showing BBC channels yesterday. You'll need to download a bit of software (the player) from the site.

There are possibly many sites offering "hijacked" links from BBC stations and indeed the BBC themselves are currently setting up their own "multicast" method of people watching their stations via their pc.

Alternativly, you can purchase a TV Card that is capable of picking up digital and analogue channels effectivly giving you freeview on the pc.

However, you HAVE to have a tv license in order to do this legally.
