Crimson field

Really enjoying this drama but tonight during the communion scene the priest said'Body of Christ' as he Handed out the host. I thought this was a fairly recent practise....wasn't it a long Latin phrase then?

    Go to Digital Spy UK TV they are always pointing out the wrong props etc in the show. I am not religious so have no idea. Do watch and enjoying the series though.

    I haven't seen last night's episode yet but hadn't the non-catholic religions changed to English by that time for the Eucharist?

    Quite right. You were not allowed to touch the host till fairly recent times.

    I think in recent times the problem hasn't been participants touching the host. Quite the opposite.

    I think that change came in 1962
