Hi,
On my credit file I have a credit defaults from one account dating back to October 2008. This was when I went with a debt elimination company who told me to stop paying the monthly fees as they wer taking over all my debts. All other debts have come off report except this one. The company in which I owed kept refusing settlement figures offers then stopped corresponding with debt company until November 2011 in which they told debt elimination company they wer no longer pursuing money owed and account closed.
What I'm wanting to know is will the default come off report 6 years from 1st default or from account being closed? Also is it worth adding a change of notification on my report?
