Last year my Tesco still had Easter eggs a month after Easter! I went in on Friday to buy one, just for me and they only had a small amount left in only 2 different varieties, a creme egg mug and a Mars one. There were about 20 in total that I saw.

So I bought 6 pack of creme eggs, creme egg ice cream and mini egg cake bars instead lol. I've already had an Easter egg this year, I bought one a month ago as it was really cheap and ate it a month ago! I only wanted it because it was cheaper than buying the chocolate individually lol.

My daughter used to work at a toy store part time while at Uni.

Every Christmas Eve without fail, the minute the store closed there'd be desperate people hammering on the doors, begging to be let in because they "had nothing for the kids for Christmas morning"!

I got my Easter eggs weeks ago and have been amazed today to see people paying well over the odds for Easter eggs at the local convenience store.

Or like me - who sensibly got all the eggs a couple of weeks back - great selection & prices. Then on Fri night I get a phone call from my Mum - 'Your Brother's been round & dropped off your Eggs' (EGGS? EGGS? !!!!!!!)' I'll take yours to him when I go Sunday'

Cue mad panic as up until last year we'd only given to the kids, & this year he'd added adults in too! Agh! 9.30pm dash to ASDA - where they only had MnM eggs or some cheap kiddie basket things! Ended up with the MnM egg & a box of Ferrero Rocher.

So being organised & buying early doesn't always work!

There's often a cost saving if you leave things until the last minute... e.g. my motorbike CBT - I saved 15% because I was doing it within the next 3 days. I could have booked it much earlier, but would have paid full price.

That was this year's stock arrived early. The ways things go now, we'll have back to school stuff in a couple of weeks.

Oh, I hate the "Back To School" campaigns in the shops.

The kids break up on a Friday and by the following Monday, all of the shops are full of school uniforms and stationery. What, can no-one manage to buy a pen without having six weeks notice?

I hardly ever buy Easter eggs because I leave it too late. This is the first time in years that I actually managed to buy eggs for everyone and that's only because I was shopping with my mum last week and we had to get some for her, I felt guilty so I ended up buying some too.

I hate Easter eggs anyway....all cardboard and no substance. I've got a box of posh chocs instead! ;)

I spent many a year working in Tesco whilst I was a student and distinctly remember being shouted at one Christmas Eve by a customer who was annoyed we'd ran out of quality street tins. We'd had them in since September, why they'd not picked one up before Christmas Eve and them felt the need to get mad at me I don't know

I don't miss working there one little bit.

The word customer is the incorrect term, you mean idiot given the circumstances!

BIL repairs mowers, getting loads in at present from those who have just got it out to do the garden and wants it repaired instantly. Don't like it when told there is a 2 week backlog because of all the others just like them.
