I'm looking anytime from 28th June to the 10th July, We always go away for the silly season.
I have been looking at All inclusive, but to be honest we wouldn't get the money's worth TBH. Also I don't like 4* hotels etc. HAve stayed in them before are they are too restrictive esp for the children. The last 2 we stayed in the children weren't even allowed to have a small ball in the pool! So we went to the beach everyday.
We also prefer self catering as we can eat when we want, and it's much more relaxed. We don't spend much food wise, as the children are happy with sandwiches at Lunchtime and a yoghurt, with snacks in between. We don't drink much either as the children are with us.

Although if the prices are worth it we might just bite the bullet and go again.

Will keep an eye out for the HOTUKDeals also, and will go have a look at Terra travel now.
I'm just shocked at how much the prices have went up TBH. Last year we got 2 weeks in Lanzarote for £500 each! Now to stay in the same place on the same dates it's almost £700:eek:

Thanks for all your tips though :) Much appreciated

Have you thought about looking at holidays departing from England? The school holidays in England don't start until mid July so you might find some special offers for departures at the end of June. Yes you would need to add in the cost of flight to Gatwick or Manchester etc but it might still work out cheaper.

Look at Dublin departures too, very often cheaper than N.Ireland flights and a bigger choice of destinations.

Funny you should say that, I had priced last night flights from Manchester, and including the flights from here to there it was working out far much cheaper. My problem then was I would have to book to stay overnight in Manchester coming back as the flights we were looking at weren't arriving back to late at night. SO it wasn't worth it at that point.

Dublin prices aren't much different than here, and then taking into account travel down there or parking charges if we took our own car, it wouldn't make any difference.

I sat last night on a few different sites, teletext holidays and low cost holidays being two of them. When I get a chance later on today I'll take another look and see what we can find.

Thanks very much everyone for your thoughts :)

Any playing around to be done with this deal, given hotel, flights and transfers can be booked separately?

I used the flight checker on this site to find the cheapest flights anywhere out of international for next month

From there I researched the destination and have put together 13 nights self catering for two of us in the algarve, car parking and transfers for just on £600

It can be done if you are flexible on when you can travel. Bit harder of you have restrictions such as school holidays to work around

4 of the familiy had to fly to Luton return last week and the cheapest out of belfast was £300 EACH. We drove to Dublin in an hour and a half and went Ryanair for £55 each,. A saving of £980!!
Booked the long stay online for 3 euros a day.
