Steam Cleaner

We have one of those hand held steam cleaners for cleaning the oven, bathroom grime etc ..
According to the instructions - you fill it up, plug it in, heat up the contents and then unplug it, take it to the cleaning job, spray steam, return it to the mains, heat up the water again - etc etc
Have you ever heard of such a stupid device ?

Sounds to me like it's for small jobs - for people with a full/mains one to grab and use rather than digging out the full-sized one.

Depends how long it lasts I guess.... 20 minutes, for example, could get an awful lot of cleaning done in a house that's kept clean on a regular basis.

I wouldn't get the hand held device by itself, but we have a floor steam mop with a detachable hand held doo-dah and it's quite useful for cleaning hideous hobs (such as in our student rental property).

Having just used one to clean a takeaway stain from the car seats - I could have done with a non mains one.

Still - I could have simply unplugged it I suppose.

50T - did you not consider this when you bought it?
