Ignored PE, No Letters, am I doomed?

Hi,
Last April I was sent two PE tickets from a car park at an Aldi in Preston. I was told by my friend's father- a policeman- to completely ignore all the letters and just bin them. I was going through a bad time while I was pregnant and had so much going on it didn't even cross my mind to look into it.
On Friday I received two Letters before County Court after having months of nothing at all but I assumed these were rubbish as well! Got cold feet about the whole situation and looked here, and now I'm scared stupid at what I've found.
Am I completely doomed? I have no paperwork, does this mean I have no chance and should just pay up now?
I've had a skim read through some of the sticky threads but I'm not sure if any apply to me!
Thanks in advance.

read this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4908490 as they are going through a similar process
as is this one https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4937336
and many others too
also read the sticky threads properly and the parking pranksters PE guide to court
do not ignore these papers , especially if they are from court and not PE
if they are an LBCCC from PE, read the crabman sticky thread and the LBCCC fightback thread in particular
find your proof paperwork , like bank statements etc that have shopping receipts on them from aldi , and then contact aldi to get the ticket or tickets cancelled asap

Skim reading is not enough.
You need to go back and really read the link in Crabman's sticky thread (2nd thread on main forum page) linked here for you - on LBCCC fightback
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4896178
and
You also need to understand how this should have been dealt before it got to this stage by reading and understanding all of the info in the NEWBIES thread - particularly see post #5 on small claims because this is what you will get next if you don't deal with the LBCCC's appropriately
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
Don't try to deal with them with only one letter covering both - Handle each one separately - sending an acknowledgment letter for each LBCCC
(letter will be found in - post #3 of zzzLazyDaisy's thread (LBCCC fightback.0 -
Have you drafted your response letter to these LBCCC letters yet? Read the links given already? YOU ARE NOT YET AT COURT STAGE AND CAN GET THESE SORTED.
You can certainly get these cancelled by Aldi as this late stage, or by ParkingEye themselves, by sending proof of regular Aldi receipts (and a bank statement from that day/next day showing the purchases) if you can supply that too. Also tell them that the driver (third person) was pregnant at the time and needed longer to shop, and you consider this harassment of a paying customer who had good reason to be slower to get around last year. And include all the usual stuff you will see in the appeal you should have sent (NEWBIES thread). Use the same arguments, tell them they have no prospect of success and that you have complained to Aldi as well.
Refer to Daisy's LBCCC Fightback sticky thread for the tone of letter you should send (not an email).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
