Am new to the forum and need straightforward advice. Halifax cc £5800 balance with 21% APR. Im paying £100/month and just paying the interest! Do i call them and ask for help or switch to a 0% card. I cant work out which option is best. I want to clear this debt before it gets out of hand. thanks for help

Switch to a 0% card. If you can't get one, then ask them for an offer to retain your custom.
Find ways to spend less money and clear the debt faster with money not spent on other things.0 -
My advice would be as the Peaceful said - ask them what they intend to do to keep your custom or take your business elsewhere.
You mentioned asking for help - don't do that unless you really need it. The Halifax as with other org's train their agents to detect the slightest financial troubles and they may misinterpret this and put you on a repayment plan which may be marked as such with Experian etc.
You need to approach this the same way would with your mobile provider..what can you do that's better than the next guy etc..
Unless of course you are in genuine financial difficulty in which case yes, ask for help.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0
