Dear all , a word of caution , Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth , ride The Twister , yesterday my daughter and I went on this ride , she was tall enough according to them , as soon as the ride started she began to slide off the seat and under the bar , the only thing that stop her falling out of the ride was me frantically clinging to her with one arm whilst screaming at the attendant and waving other arm , thankfully the attendant saw and stopped the ride , this was a very near miss and we will be emailing both the owner and the HSE . Please think twice before taking your children there / on this ride x x

They do safety checks on the rides and they usually have a sign saying you must be this tall to ride.Come on you Irons0

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Some rides say you're big enough to ride it but if you're petite body shape then I guess you can slip under the bar.
I'm so glad Alton Towers didn't let me on Corkscrew when I was 1cm too small as when I road it as a teenager it chucked me around a lot! If I was 1cm taller and got on the ride when I was younger, I would have been thrown around even more on the ride!0 -
How tall is she, the min height to ride is 1.25m / 4'1"0

She is about 127 , taller than minimum height esp with shoes on0

This happened to me & my niece when she was just tall enough to go on a ride like this - also called Cyclone etc.
I think it's the design of the ride, it throws you about and you are not secured in your seat like some other rides.0 -
Just because someone meets the minimum height requirement doesn't mean it's safe for them to go on a ride. My daughter is very slight for her age and even on the rides where there are over the shoulder restraints, i wouldn't let her go on them. Those "Twister" rides are even more dangerous as they usually only have a lap bar to hold on to. There is a video on Youtube of someone being flung from a Twister ride, watch it, you'll never go on one again.0
