*** I'm assuming this invoice is from CEL ? ***
Dear Co-Op,
Re : PCN xxxxx, Registration Number xxxx
As a loyal Co-op customer I'm extremely angry to have received the above PCN from your agents CEL. This is not the way to instill customer loyalty.
As the Co-op trades on its "ethical" stance it is somewhat bewildering that you would employ a company that are no better than a bunch of scammers. Equally, given your recently released financial results, one would think you would want to keep every customer possible.
I demand that you now cancel the PCN and confirm this in writing. If you fail to do so and CEL continue to harass me for payment I will consider legal action against you and CEL for harassment. Should CEL take me to court I will request the court ensure the Co-op provide a representative at the hearing.
Yours,

If you're also a member as well as a customer you could add this after the word 'customer' in the first sentence. (i.e. I am a loyal Co-op customer and a member...)0

I emailed euan sutherland ( the ceo) directly and quite politely explained that i had a got a ticket whilst shopping in the store. He replied within the hour apologised and assured he would sort it out.
Though later that evening he was on the news resigning!
His team still came back to me and contacted the mid counties co-operative group who then cancelled the ticket.
They said that if you get a ticket whilst shopping, you can go back in and see the store manager, who if can see you have been in the store, can have it cancelled
*mind you i was quite polite and just pointed out i was a regular customer and was very disappointed, and they were then very helpful. I didnt demand or threaten legal action, or be otherwise stroppy
Ps my ticket was from euro carparks not cel0 -

We must assume you have also found the NEWBIES thread (top of this forum board) and know to send the first appeal template to CEL? As well as complaining.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you mean you have submitted a defence? I hope you haven't just acknowledged the claim and not defended?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

thanks for your reply,by the sound off it thats all i have done, when i got the ticket people told me not to pay it,they had been on web sites about cel and the advice was dont pay,two tickets later in the bin, then i get court papers, got abit worried now so checked a few web sites and was getting abit confusing, then found one in so many steps, regarding the court papers it said send back, aos,i havent sent anythink else back, this was about month ago, would that be a problem by not sending a defence as well,iv balls up by the sounds off it!0

Yes it is a problem as you are about to get a default judgement! Why the hell do you ignore county court letters ? Nobody ever says to ignore such things anywhere on this website.
Now you must rely on the coop to pay these, it is the coop for both tickets and it is Civil Enforcement for both ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

thanks for your reply again,i think we may have cross lines!
i sent back the part of the form from the courts which is called acknowledgement of service, ticking part of the form which roughly was for defence/defending,that was a good month ago,but if it goes to court(some do i believe)im sure i saw some legal type letters you can download relateing to these parking fines on a web site, also i dont have 2 seperate tickets, its just one,the ticket+1 reminder, thanks again for ur reply0 -
