I want to go out for a wander with my little lad Monday. Fancying a nice village/town with grass for my son to run around, maybe a stream. Also a nice ice cream or nice beer garden.
Anyone any ideas, don't want to go further than about 45mins in the car from York.

Thornton le dale. Very picturesque village, amazing ice cream shop, stream running through with little fish, ducks to feed and a play park if you want it.0
