Last summer EDF decided I needed to change my electricity meter.
I took a day off work to get this done.
I've just got a bill for the last six months.
I'm on Economy 7.
EDF bill comes through for six months with around 5,000KwH on daytime and absolutely NOTHING on nighttime, around £200 more than expected.
It seems that the new meter, which EDF wanted to install is charging ALL usage to the day tariff.
The upshot is I have to take another day off so EDF can fit another meter to replace the one they wanted to fit in the first place.
Aargh!

You took the whole day off work for what is a 10-15 minute job?
When the meter was changed, you would have been provided with a card that gives the old meter redaings and the new meter reading. Usually the meter man asks you to verify these these, but even if not, it's important that you do as that is what you will be billed up to /from.
So what does that card say?
And you say all this occurred last summer? Have you not provided a meter reading since then, or received a bill/statement???
And now you are going to take another day off work?
I believe you, thousands wouldn't.
Still it's another thread about EDF eh? Makes a change from Spark I suppose. Although Ovo & Flow seem the target boys recently.
Now back to the parking board with you ...0 -
Thanks, EDF could only say they were coming during the morning.
I did do other things during the day.
I could not check the night meter when it was installed in the daytime.
I'm off back to parking.
