Have you looked at the options in the browsers - there is a mention of downloading... I have the same problem using Firefox which I mentioned on here but never actually resolved it, I just used IE which did work instead. I've now got Opera and not sure if that works yet. Not much help! :rolleyes:Torgwen..........

I had a problem a few months ago. Firefox was saving files to another XP user-account's desktop even though it said it was saving them to mine - but that happened because I was messing around with profiles and moving them around
Try:
in firefox
Tools / Options
Click downloads on the left
select save all files to this folder:
and then in the drop-down box select other -
Even if you want things saved to your desktop, select other and then use browse to show it where your desktop is in case decides to put them somewhere else.
(i.e. click My computer / C: / Documents and Settings / Username / Desktop rather than just clicking Desktop)0 -
these steps dont slove the problem0

click on tools then downloads, it should show all the downloads you have. then click on open opposite the file you wish to open. firefox normally downloads to desktop. if downloads box is empty click on my downloads at the bottom of the downloads box that will open up the file with your downloads in then install programme fronm there((right click , click on open)spanky xx

erm , out of curiosity there isnt a little bar on the top up (normally yellow i think) that says something like 'blocked content...' that you can click on and say allow blocked content? if so allow the content and re-open the page
other than that...as i say 2 a lot, disable firewall/popup blockers for a second and try loading page...does it work now? if so its something to do with them blockers and not ie/firefox0 -
nop there is no yellow box saying anything i have the pop up blocker off and firewall off but still same problem.0

Go to https://www.msn.co.uk, click Messenger (top right under the Search box) and then Get it Now.0
