Cable for TV

ok, bear with me, technologically challenged as I am.
I have a modern laptop running windows 8, and a modern flat screen TV.....Is there some kind of a cable that I can use to connect them so I can watch videos ( Game of Thrones! ) that I have downloaded to my pc via google watch?
Specific links to a product please....and also an idea of where to plug it in on either device!

    Thank you! A quick dash to Currys later and I am sorted.....I even managed to figure out how to get the right channel for it to show on the TV!

    Except dont pay more than a few quid, can get them from poundland for £1 if you have nearby.

    Well it cost me a good bit more than £1, but am still happy with that.
