Just been online to transfer some money. Wasn't paying attention on sat and went into the wrong bank. He had already counted my money and put it in his drawer before he asked for my card and I realised I was in barclays not nationwide!
:rotfl: luckily I have an acc with them so put it in there and just transferred it over.
Just paid my massive cc bill (new fridge freezer plus flights and car parking for holiday) and now have £170 left in my acc towards the electrician
I am due a CPP refund which I reckon will be about £120 and hopefully should get it within the next few weeks. If the electrician is less than £400 then have decided I will OP the whole amount from the mortgage for my first OP! :T:A:money: I hadn't factored it into my calculations so its 'free' money:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

Hi Clippy, I think you've outdone yourself there with that mistake. Yesterday in the supermarket I managed to have an entire conversation (one-sided as usual) with who I thought was my OH, and rummage around what I thought was our trolley before realising there was a very shocked, slightly scared and very much not-my-OH-looking-bloke at the helm.
Welcome to this part of the board, I'm sure you will have some valuable lessons to share from your previous successes!Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

Have totted up my mystery shopping jobs done/to do for april and it stands at £227 :money: thats £77 over my target amount :j already got £135 booked in for may as well :T
not much else to report!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hmmm just checked balance and its now £111,433.92 so payment had obviously already cleared when I last posted
Will need to check every day around payment time to see what day the payment clears.
so today i will be mystery shopping as got 3 to do. also need to pop to library and see if i can get new card and get out book i want (couldnt find it on catalogue before so nearly spent £9 from amazon on it. luckily i looked again :T) also need to pay cheque into bank (must pay attention this time!!!:o)
then this afternoon i need to cook a massive pot of curry to take to my friends this evening. also going to have a nice long bath :j
will also actually ring the electricians i have selected and leave messages if i cant get through as i need to know the amounts asap so i know how much to save and if i can pay my cpp money off the mortgage:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
so back from town and mystery shops all done
got freebies in all three as two were coffee machine ones so got 2 nice cups of coffee and then won some jelly beans in the phone shop.
exciting news- just checked my nectar balance and its at just under 5000 points. nearly all of these are from british gas since aug, not sure why they give so many but
just noticed on here that sainsburys are doing double value so £10 instead of £5 per 1000 points (max £40) so went on to look at kindle white prices as going to sell my fire and get one of these.
they are selling the old white ones at £82 (at least i think its the old one) so would only be £42! and just received through post £8 off £40 to use from tomorrow (looks like you can spend in any category in store). So new kindle for £34!!!!!! hopefully!
have been trying to ring store to see if they have them in stock and see if i can reserve one but no answerif i cant get through i will go down tomorrow!
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hmm so neither of my local branches of mr s had the older paperwhite in stock so bought the new one. it was £61 in total after using the £8 off and the £40 nectar voucher
just bought a lovely case for £3.99 on ebay as well
need to investigate waterproof bags that work with touch screen so i can read in the bath (or maybe just stick sellotape over the hole?) not worried about dropping it but dont want steam to get inside. also need to work out how to make book lists on it so can move all the read ones to one side.
has been a spendy day as also spent-
£10.99 on paloma faith's new album- love her music and will sell on ebay once i have put on itunes
£26.50 in pah. bought a £26 cat comb :eek::eek: i have a long haired cat and his fur is everywhere. stepmum gave me one of the furminator combs she bought for the rabbit but it was too small but removed loads of hair. so i bought him the cat one for long hair and omg :rotfl: he will be bald soon the amount of hair it is removing! have had about 4 big handfuls so far. have already pinned him down twice this afternoon so he is avoiding me now! :rotfl: also had a vouch for a free small bag of food for a brand i dont use so was going to get it for local rspca. branch didnt have any so let me pick any brand i wanted so got free science plan food :T
have rang the electrician colleague uses and he is coming to get quote tomorrow. cant be bothered getting loads of quotes as she is happy with his prices. given where we work i am sure she has shopped around!
going to list my kindle fire on work intranet tomorrow. hope to get about £140 for it. dont find it as user friendly as ipad and regret not buying an ipad minihowever i dont use it that much as still use laptop. will keep money aside and if i miss tablet then will get dad to give me money for bday to add to it and get ipad mini. have already paid for the paperwhite using money i had put aside for my hair but not going to get it cut til back from hol now.
in mfw news spreadsheet is getting set up so hopefully will be able to start tracking op's
in other exciting news i am getting the hive thermostat fitted tomorrow :j cant wait to be able to turn the heating on and off from the sofa without having to get up :rotfl::j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hive is now installed and i am waiting exicitedly to try it out from the sofa tonight. :rotfl: it is currently 17c in the hall so cant justify putting it on (although it is colder in here than there!).
bad news is that the guy did an electrical safety check and marked my fuse box as at risk :( apparently it has no rcd protection). i asked out of interest was that expensive to sort and he said bg charge around £900 :eek::eek: obv i wont use them but still
will ask the electrician tonight:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
