  • Morning!
Rough night as Asher baby woke up vomiting at 1am and is still poorly. She's dosing now on my knee whilst DH does housework and gets through the washing ...... All cot bedding, full bed change for us, quilt and pillows, every sleepsuit and towel in the house😳
So easy day for us snuggling in the house.
Yesterday I did a months meal plans and ordered months online shop.... Used a few of my newest cookbooks so lots of new food adventures coming up😀

Tonight it may be HM pasta and amatriciana sauce or HM pizza depending how everyone else is feeling.
Nice roast dinner planned for tomorrow.
We need to leave the Easter eggs around the house tonight and scatter small choc eggs around the place .... From the hole in Easter bunnys pocket😉
Noah also gets a CD from Easter bunny. This year it's Franz Ferdinands latest .

Hope all are well and hugs where needed

Massive leg of lamb in the fridge for less than £8 from the A shop. They were more than twice the price in the S shop and that was supposed to be 1/3rd off. Several people were stopping shoppers who were looking at them and telling them to go to A!

Hi chums beautiful day in the garden of England at the moment.I put a small wash on and its blowing nicely on the line, but it stuff that can do without an iron over it so I shall just hand on hangers and the iron can go whistle :):) I have been watching a bit of catch-up t.v. on the Tivo box and doing a little knitting and generally just dozing in-between :):) but sleep is an excellent healer, so its all to the good.

I am just about to go and make myself a nice ham salad for lunch with some bits from the fridge left over from yesterdays lunch.Eldest DD is coming to pick me up later to go to her house for dinner and to see her in-laws.Everything seems to take me twice as long to do at the moment and I'm afraid if I don't feel like it then its not going to get done till I do :):):).Thanks for all your good wishes I'm sure I'll soon be up and running about again soon.but at the moment I am being sensible and taking my time for a change .
have a great week-end everyone what ever you are getting up to.
    love to you all

    Afternoon all,

a bit of a late posting for me today. My sofas came yesterday, they really are very nice except for one thing. They are huge. I'm so angry with hubby. Every sofa we looked at in the showroom I took measurements and compared them with the sofas we already had. Theres no way I wanted anything any bigger. To be honest, we never get visitors and a 2 x 2 would have done us fine but hubby insisted on a 3 and a 2 so he could fall asleep on it stretched out..... So anyway, back to the showroom. We saw these sofas and he said 'if you get that blasted tape measure out again I'm going to walk out of here'. It was lovely and it didn't look too big in the showroom (well the one they had in stock didn't) so it was purchased.

Good job I'm not hot on furniture, the damned thing has taken over the living room. They are both recliners too which doesn't help as you need to leave a huge space behind them so the back can tilt back and I'm thinking, how on earth am I going to get behind them to vacuum the dust/doghairs that will accumulate?

I'll just have to get used to it.

Shopping this afternoon. All done and dusted, put away and everything.

Ive got my Grandson overnight tonight. He's been a miserable little grump the last few days and I'm expecting much the same when he comes later on. Ive bought a pile of takeaway food. I'm too old to pacify a grumpy baby and cook a meal as well.

Moorhen, thanks for thinking of me. I'll get there.

Nmlc ive got a fractured family too. My Mother put the spanner in the works between me and my brother and my kids avoid their Dad like the plague. Even 'Youngest' stays in his room when Dad is home.

Right I had best get on, theres a few jobs I need to do before my Grandson comes. I'll get no chance whilst he is here.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great evening all.

    Afternoon all,

Another lovelysunny day, only about 13c but sun makes it feel warmer, 2 loafs washing on line, should be dry soon Ithink.

JackieO wonderful that you intend taking things easy.....baby steps pet.

Mollie, hope that you are maintaining improvement, same advice as to Jackie.

Hester....unusual for your OH to be in a grump isnt it? I have been wondering whats wrong with my OH as he is not in a grump, we went out for breakfast this morning and I had scrambled eggs which were 95% as good as my late mother used to make, very pleased, will have them again

Thinking that I need to buy a new chair as current one is not helping the arthritis, am allergic to parting with money, so will see if there is a chair anywhere in the house which would donthe job without any money leaving my hot little fist.

Dinner will be salad of leftover trout from yesterday with lots of leaves and I think avocado...not sure if we have one...will have with some of the bread I made last night

Staying put over weekend, bank holidays not the same since I retired.

LW, hope that you are still enjoying your doggie guests.... DD4 was here a while ago and Mossy was so pleased to see Bran, they had a wonderful play fight.

As dinner is not very work intensive will do some knitting this afternoon I think.

Have a great weekend everybody, hope that the sun shines for everybody

  • knight.gif Happy St Georges day everyone.
We had a St George and a dragon wandering around town today and an Easter egg hunt, all good fun :)

Then I spent nearly two hours in the hairdresser having a cut and blow dry, very relaxing and it only cost £10 because a student did it, I am really pleased with it and she was well supervised so at that price I will do it again :D

Managed to get all the washing done this morning and I am about to get it in before we pick DD up from work at 6pm.

We had a mahoosive bonfire last night and got rid of a load of carp from the garden I quite enjoyed my little self being a pyro :rotfl::rotfl:

JackieO allow yourself to be pampered and take things easy x x

Molly the same goes for you, I hope that you are a bit more positive today x x

    NPM (((Hugs))) for Asher x

Mr Grumpy is slightly better today but still snappy, hey ho, he'll feel better soon I expect.
I've managed to get the sewing machine out again & finished one dress, the other one is nearly finished but is a bit of a pain as it's crinkle cotton.
DD's just collected the car as she's working tonight, not sure when til, she'll bring the car back tomorrow sometime.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
