If its a charter flight, it will likely depend on the departure date (as they usually have a sliding cancellation fee with it becoming non-changeable/non-refundable within x weeks of travel).

Scheduled flights tend to be the fares that cost more for more flexibility.

Still, I dont really think OP needs to cancel. Theres not really a lot that can go wrong when booking just flights from a travel agent. But then, I have no idea what the reviews said and whether they've had genuine complaints or whether they had unrealistic expectations/have rated the travel agent down for things outwith their control.
