How to cancel Flight Tickets without penalty

Hi, I have just bought flight tickets through a travel agent, I did this over the phone and was sent an e-mail which contained an electronic customer acceptance form, I confirmed this form and received an e-ticket, I have now been reading dire reviews about this travel agent and am now wondering if I have done the right thing. I checked my credit card and as yet the payment has not came off, is it still possible to cancel these flight tickets without any comeback? am I entitled to a cooling of period? or can I cancel through my credit card company?

If you have received an e-ticket then the flight would have been booked and is most probably non refundable.

The payment probably wont show on your card due to it being a bank holiday.

Who did you book with just out of interest?
  • Hi thanks for the reply, that's what I thought, the travel agent was Flight Centre which I am sure will be ok, it's just that when I read all these negative reviews I started to panic a little.

Check with the airline that you have a ticket issued (and not just a reservation). If you do, you'll most likely be fine. Next time book direct with the airline.
  • Thanks, sounds like good advice
