Hi there to everyone and thanks to all the posters!:hello:
Plenty of YNABers now - I fully expect to see it floated on the New York Stock Exchange soon!
My boss is off on holiday tomorrow so took me out for a long lunch. I think I must have too much red wine as I fell asleep on the train home and missed my stop! Can't remember the last time that happened! I'm obviously too old now for all this lunchtime festivity!
I went shopping in M&S on my way home for food and goodies to take to the concert on Saturday. However, even with my greenredeem voucher it still came in at £32.02! I also had to get a taxi home from the station as the shopping was heavy and I have a 20 minute walk with a very steep hill on the way home. So another £4! I will be hibernating all next week I think.
DD is staying with me tonight and has just texted to say she is on her way so off now to make her dinner and get into "unscrimpy" mode!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Off to concert tomorrow - have got all food and drink, also ticket and minibus all paid for. Shouldn't have anything else to lay out for apart for tip for driver at end of evening.
Am off to get things ready and have an early night for a change!
Just seen your post Catriona. Unfortunately two bottles between us but he drank more I think! To mitigate I did have two coffees as well!!

Hope you have a lovely time at the concert today and oops to missing your stop. I remember my dad telling us how he fell asleep on the train from London, missed his stop in Bedford and woke up in Leicester, got back on the train to go back down but fell asleep again and ended up back in London!

Hi Chrysalis - yes I think the never ending train journey is often the curse of the commuter who has over-imbibed!
Concert on Saturday was marvellous and had a lovely day! Didn't get home till really late so slept in on Sunday. Just spent £4 on Saturday as my share of tip to driver and only bought a paper on Sunday. Had to splash out £5.43 as well as paper today as I lost my hand cream at the concert and had to replace it. Still hopefully I can carry on frugally. It's an eight day week this week so tightening of belt all round! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hi Seasidegal
Just thought I'd pop in and offer my support on your debt busting journey, I've been trying to catch up on your diary bit by bit and almost managed to read it all. Sounds like you have a really interesting job and a great social life (I'm not envious honest! lol)
You seem to be doing great in your endeavours and at the same time still enjoying life. Well done!MFIT #73 - Pay all mortgage off in 3 years[STRIKE] £46,400[/STRIKE]£34,295 PAID £12,1050 -
 to inod– it’s an eight day week because I split the month into four weeks for my ad hoc spends and food, but get paid monthly each 25th. There’s usually an extra couple of days in the month, i.e. two this month, so this week and the following week will be eight day weeks. I prefer to take a weekly view rather than monthly as I find it easier to manage
.
:hello:Mysteek – thanks for popping in and well done for wending your way through my diary. I’m lucky in that I enjoy my job – I’ve worked for my boss for years and we get on well. I don’t socialise half as much as I used to – since my LBM I’ve learnt to turn down invitations – all in the name of scrimping behind the scenes!:D
I checked my Halifax and Post Office cards today and the balance transfer still hadn’t taken place  . I rang Post Office and they confirmed that it hadn’t gone through (why???) and put it through while I was on the phone with them. She said it will take up to seven to ten working days so Ground Hog day is repeating itself again :wall: ! What’s annoyed me is that I’ve used the extra credit card repayment cash to reduce the M&S card as I thought the Halifax would have been cleared. The Halifax minimum repayment was included in this payment so I’ll be down over one hundred pounds this month as the Halifax minimum will still go through. I’ll be borrowing from the Christmas stash to fund it!
Apart from that was a good day today MSE wise – 60p for paper! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
