Moving boxes London to Edinburgh

Thanks for suggestions everyone.
Re de-clutter, I can't really do that as I don't accumulate much junk. Most of the stuff I have I do need, maybe not every day but on a time-to-time basis at least.
I will have a look at Shiply, looks a bit like Anyvan, as well as at the part-load haulage companies. And thanks for the quantification dacouch, I guess that rules hiring a van out.
I got some pretty good quotes on Anyvan - one company quoted me 150 GBP for all my 10 boxes and they have very good reviews (and lots of them), so I will probably go for that or possibly DPD, but sounds like it will fit into 200 GBP OK!0 -
Good luck - hope the move goes smoothly!0

I work for a van hire company, you could also look at a one way van hire, if it works with friends driving etc and getting back to Edinburgh. You need to budget about £190 per day plus fuel plus getting back for this option. Sounds like a van may well be too large though, so what about a car? This would work out much cheaper. I would expect to pay £130 for a large estate one way.0

Thanks for the suggestion. To be honest I think the DIY option would only make sense if it cost somewhat less than 150 GBP all in because I can send the boxes through some decent courier at that price, or what looks like I am going to do, use Anyvan - I got several quotes for 150 - 200 GBP for sending the boxes from people who seem to do the part loads. That is much more convenient and same price or less even by the looks of it.0
