Beware TravelTalk Phone SIM

I followed the MoneySavingExpert link to buy TravelTalk SIM to save money on my trip abroad last week. It failed to work in France, Greece, Montenegro and Italy so I complained that it was not fit for purpose and got very short shrift. Apparently I should have phoned them from abroad so they could sort it out. My protestation that I couldn't because it wasn't working was greeted with I could have used someone else's phone or a hotel phone. I was not staying in a hotel and only had limited credit on my normal Pay as You SIM so could not phone them from abroad. This argument fell on deaf ears.

So, beware, if their product doesn't work, you are on your own and they are unwilling to refund. Mention and link from Moneysaving Expert website is no guarantee that TravelTalk will act reputably!:(

They have asked me to send the SIM back to them (at my expense -having already charged me £3 to send it to me by post in the first place) for their technical team to investigate... We shall see.
