Poor credit history and starting a business

Hello everyone
I have a very poor credit rating in that I entered into a DMP a few years back. I am now managing everything ok and have never missed my mortgage/car payment or anything like that. I have developed a business plan for what I think is a really innovative business idea which has very little in the way of start up costs and running costs. I need to obtain a lease on a suitable premises and also open a business account.
Is this possible with my history?
