Solicitors questions re extension/loft conversion

Hello

Typically at 5.30pm the day before the bank holiday weekend we have received a list of questions re our sale. Basically there was a rear single storey extension completed before we bought the house and we put a loft in.

Our vendor's solicitor is asking for proof of planning permission but I thought both projects come under permitted development (the loft definitely does) so, other than a building regs certificate there is no other paperwork.

I have been on our council website and found both projects and both status' say they were awarded a certificate of lawfulness - would we have received any paperwork at this stage (other than maybe a letter)? And will this be enough for the solicitors or will we need to get copies of anything from the council?

I hate this bit of house buying/selling!
