On the eight day after holyfest, Jesus spoke to Isaiha and spoke the unto him. He told that man should associate his Loveth for thine overlord with the consumption of eggs. The more eggs the better. And the biggest ones are the best, obviously.
And then in 1600 years time when I allow man to invent chocolate, then he shall maketh the eggs out of the delicious, satisfying elixir.
Oh yeah, and they should eat fish on Friday, carry palm leaf crosses on their dashboards, eat hot buns and adorn them with a cross (because it's Easter after all), and there is something to do with a bunny too but I haven't quite linked that to Christianity quite yet......but I willst, becauth I amstest the creator! Ta-da!

I don't get the big deal about Easter eggs, what makes them so special? Chocolate is for every day, not just Easter!

This is my first year in a long time NOT buying eggs for myself or family! I bought 2 cheap-ish ones a few weeks back to give to my teaching assistants on the last day of term, just as a "thanks for your help" thing.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of easter egg choc... To me it doesn't taste the same as a bar! LOL!
I'm planning on taking a stroll to the waitrose at the end of my road later this afternoon and will get myself a couple of my favourite choccy bars, but that'll do me.
I remember last year though, trying to buy a few eggs a couple of days before easter (I think it was like the Thursday before) from Tesco, and really having to scrabble around to find any that were half decent.Because it's fun to have money!

Was in Aldi this morning and they had pallets laden with Chocolate Bunnies at 75p each. ( In addition to 100s of packets of hot cross buns ). I may pop back in on Monday or Tuesday to see what they have left.0

WHAT!?!
well you must be the only person on the planet who thinks that normal chocolate is better than Easter egg chocolate. Easter egg chocolate is like, a million times nicer. It's proper awesome, and totally worth the mega inflated price hike for the equivalent amount of regular chocolate. You one Damned crazy fool you are.0 -

That's the whole point!!!!!
If it tasted the same as bars people wouldn't bother buying it, they would just buy the bars.0 -
I'm hoping the Waitrose lemon ones will be reduced. They look lovely, but they're currrently about £8!Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

As a child I remember going to Woolworth on the Tuesday after Easter and getting a big egg for pennies
Used to do the same at Christmas , go down and buy the very reduced selection boxes
None of the supermarkets locally to me had many eggs left on Thursday and they weren't expecting any more deliveries0
