Free Boiler Schemes

Could anybody please help!!!I have had approx 7 companies doing surveys in my home for the "Free Boiler Scheme". When they have surveyed the house and looked at our "Benefits Paper Work",they say everything is in order??
Then after waiting weeks, when I phone the companies they say the "Benefits Paper Work" is wrong.
The "Free Boiler Scheme" works on the assumption you claiming certain benefits.
Im claiming Income Support on my husbands claim(He is is also my Carer),and Im also getting claiming"Personal Independence Payment"
This does qualify for the Scheme but these companies Have said they "Dont"
Does anybody out there know of any such company out there who knows exactly what they are talking about (before this boiler blows up and kills somebody), at least 3 of these companies have put stickers on the boiler saying "do not use". We would appreciate any help from anybody out there.
Thanking You In Advance.

Have you contacted the Energy Saving Trust yet? They offer free, impartial advice, and can tell you exactly what you're entitled to.
Essentially, the Affordable Warmth Scheme no longer exists. The Energy Suppliers (who fund these schemes) met their targets for the first phase of ECO (the energy company obligation, government forcing them to spend money) ages ago, and they don't have to meet their targets for the second phase until 2014. That's bad news for people in your situation, I'm afraid.
Also, worth noting that the companies you have been dealing with may actually be correct - you may not meet the criteria.

Maureen, when you're on the phone remember to behave yourself. If you're impatient, moaning, demeaning or insulting people are going to be LESS likely to help you.0 -
I was told today by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (i.e the government advice line) that the current scheme which does provide free boilers (provided the individual applying fulfils the criteria on benefits) is the Affordable Warmth Obligation which he said was part of the E.C.O. scheme..... does anyone know what is going on with applications for free boilers for the disabled ?0
