web page not responding

in Techie Stuff
Can anyone help please. Keep getting message web page not responding then recover webpage. This is happening on nearly every site. I have windows 7. Been on several sites but problem still persists

    Sounds like your internet connection is down. Can you receive or send email?
    If not, check that your computer is connecting to your router (is it cable or wireless?), and check the status lights on your router.

    internet running and cable router ok. This problem has happening for a couple of weeks now

    Have you tried a different browser?
    When the problem happens, try to see if you can still connect to your router's admin page.
    What anti-virus are you running?
