Another article on Parking Eye at Queens hospital Burton on Trent.
http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/News/Hospital-chiefs-reveal-1m-cost-of-free-parking-20140416170352.htm
In the comments, it seems a Dr Dave Byron, Who looks by his posts, has been given the job of reviewing system. He's replying to some of the posts.
Maybe a few more knowledgeable people on here will throw him a few pointers.

Can you try that link again? I'm getting a 'Sorry, we can't find the page you are looking for.......'Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

New link works.
I see Angie Perky has made a comment.0 -
The last paragraph of the article "Parking Eye only receive revenue from those issued with parking charges" makes GPEOL a slam dunk. Unless of course ParkingEye aren't making a profit from this site, it is a hospital after all.....
I also don't imagine that ParkingEye are happy that this point has been included in the article as it would probably be under black ink if a matter from this car park ever went to court.0 -
''Geoff Neild, head of facilities at the hospital, said: “We estimate that each car park space costs around £1,000 per year to maintain. Included in these costs are business rates, return on public dividend capital, staff costs for parking attendants, CCTV safety and security systems, lighting, signage, and general maintenance and repairs. At present we have around 1,000 car parking spaces across the Queen’s site, so that equates to a cost of around £1 million per year to maintain. ''
Right...so what part of that do the Hospital SAVE by using PE? When is the last time you heard of PE maintaining and repairing car parks then? Out of all those things listed, signage is all I can see that PE supply (they don't even send an oik round the disabled bays and certainly don't have cameras that could be described as CCTV/security systems!). So the Hospital still have all those outgoings in spite of the parasites onsite.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
