Holiday Pay for Irregular Hours?

Hi,
My Partner and I run a small business and now employ 1 person part time. They work irregular hours and we are confusing ourselves on how to work out their holiday entitlement... I know they are entitled to 101 hours per year. these are the hours they work:
Monday - 1.5 hours
Tuesday - 6 hours
Thursday - 1.5 hours
They also work 2 weekends in every 4 week period, but the hours worked on these days are very irregular, so one Saturday might be 6 hours, the Sunday 12 Hours, then a different amount the other weekend. But the working hours always add up 72 hours. We often don't know what weekends they will be working until the start of the month...
Someone please help, we are going crazy!!!

I am not an expert but I think the way to do it is based on hours. The holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year, so 72 hours comes out at 8 hours 41 minutes.
I guess it is up to you to talk with your part-time worker to discuss when they want holiday and how they will take it. If the job is permanent then let them take 5.6 whole weeks off anyway and organise it far enough in advance so you can arrange cover etc... if needed.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The easiest way to calculate is to multiply the total hours worked by 12.07%, that will give you an accurate figure. What do you mean when you say they are entitled to 101 hours?0

Yes this is by far the easiest way when someone doesn't work set hours. 12.07% accrued on every hour work makes life so much easier!0 -
Use the link given above it is even easier than having to work out what 12.07% of the total is.0
