I was the first person to comment on your thread, but purely from the point of view of a customer with a bit of an awareness of how the world works and an instinct for dodgy situations.

Since then you've had some good comments from people who obviously know what they're talking about, and they've fleshed out the issues. I'm sure you're no mugs, but the leaseholders seem to hold all the cards here. Good luck in finding a freehold!
