PhD Stipend and Benefits

Hi All,
I realise I'm probably in a rather unique position here but was wondering if maybe someone could help. My fiance and I are hoping to move in together soon but the problem is, he's not currently working. He really is trying to get a job but he's just not getting anywhere. He gets housing benefit and JSA but we were wondering how this would be affected it if I were to move in with him. I've just applied for a PhD and if successful will be getting a stipend of around £13,000. In an ideal world, my fiance will get a job but since it's proving to be difficult, will he still be able to claim anything?
