Hi,
Which cards are best for security... e.g. do any refuse online (card holder not present) transactions where the delivery address doesn't match the card holders address? or don't sites have to supply that info during authorisation?
Cheers

Which Cards Are Best For Security? A very good question.
Would that be personal (physical) security? Is it safer for me to have Chip & PIN or Chip and Signature Card – which card do I have less chance of being mugged for?
Whose plate does liability for fraud end up on? If I am the victim of fraud, which card (using PINs or Signature) will I be able to prove that I didn’t carryout a particular transaction?
More Secure for who?
The Card Issuer, Retailer or Consumer?
Security when ordering goods via the internet, or by phone or mail is mainly left up to the retailer, they usually end up bearing the cost of fraud.

On at least 3 occasions when i have ordered high value goods on the internet,Tesco credit card has declined the transaction.
Twice they didn't contact me at all,i had to ring them to find out what was going on.
The other time, they rang me to ask if i had ordered something, but they had still refused it first.
I asked them what i could do to stop this happening in future, they told me to riotify them before ordering something over a certain amount (i can't remember how much,£300 ?)
I realise they have to reduce credit card fraud, but just cancelling my order is a bit much, but there again,i don't know what the answer is.Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -
Ltsb's online shopping (the one available with Goldservice and Platinum) will not deliver to any other address than the one the card is registered to (ie customer's address).
