Clarity Card - Anything but with Halifax

I was prompted to this card by MSE for use overseas. I already had a Halifax Platinum card and so called to change. I was initially told I could not change for 6 months because Halifax were migrating to Lloyds Bank systems. I was then told I could change in a few working days once my platinum card balance was clear. When I did so, Halifax then took too much and refused to close my account till they had reimbursed me - their mistake. When that had cleared I was told I had to wait another month and then apply and finally after I had closed my platinum card I was told I would have to wait till AT LEAST NOVEMBER 2014 because of the migration.
MSE need to warn people about this and I suggest steer people away from the card and probably Halifax RBS as well particularly if you are an existing customer.

Sorry to hear you've had all that trouble.

Lloyds bank migration system is much better, I recently changed product very easily with Lloyds Bank.

Halifax and RBS are in no way connected - I take it you meant Bank of Scotland>?

Very odd - I simply made a phone call and was switched over while on the phone. in transit debits and credits simply got allocated automatically to the new cArd.
