car park

Hi , am new to this so please be patient.
Parked on Heritage Retail Park in Crewe controlled by Total Parking Solutions, not a pay and display but apparently a two hour max. stay.
Now no excuses overstayed by 39 mins. Received in post a charge notice for £90 pounds(reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days) just a question - Is it worth me appealing this (amount seem a bit steep for time involved) or should I just shut up and pay up?

appeal it as per the instructions and flowchart in the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of the forum

the fact its an overstay doesnt negate the fact its an invalid invoice and should be appealed and cancelled or won by yourself

its certainly not a gpeol , even if they have legal standing to issue parking invoices etc

emailed appeal as per the instructions and flowchart in the NEWBIES sticky thread got this response - Your appeal has not yet been read, you are receiving this email automatically because you have just submitted an appeal by email. Please read the below carefully and wait to hear from us unless one of the below points applies to your situation.

In order for us to respond to your representations it's essential that you provide your 13 digit charge reference number and that your reference number is typed correctly.

Should your representations be supported by any documentary evidence, please ensure this is forwarded with your initial appeal.

When all the required information is received we will hold any action on your Charge Notice until we have replied to your representations.
However, if the above has not been provided, please re-send your email with the required 13 digit charge reference number or evidence as this will accelerate the appeals process.

We aim to write back to you within 5 working days, but certainly no more than 14 days after your representation is received. Please wait to hear from us during this period.

If you were not the driver (or had sold/hired the vehicle) at the relevant time, and have not already done so, please provide us with the driver's full name and address so that we may transfer liability. - heard nothing until got charge notice reminder in post. what should I do now ?

just for info. - charge notice received about 7/4/14,
    appeal emailed 16/4/14,
charge notice reminder received 26/4/14. Just worried that by about 8/5/14 the charge will go up to £130 :(

You won't be paying them a penny so who cares if it goes up to £500?

You are worrying about NOTHING. We don't pay these and nor will you, it's NOT a fine, who cares what made-up figure or deadline is on their letter? The appeal is in, the case is on hold and you will win at POPLA in the end.

Big Thanks to all for advice/reassurance - sorted - email received from TPS after sending first appeal copied from the instructions and flowchart in the NEWBIES sticky thread :) :-

    Dear Sir,
With reference to the Charge Notice issued to the above vehicle, after reviewing our data and in view of the representations made in connection with its issue, we can confirm that on this occasion only, as a gesture of goodwill, we have decided to cancel this Notice and no further action is to be taken.
    Yours faithfully,
    Total Parking Solutions Limited

Well done. And you didn't even have to go to PoPLA.
Now tell your friends what to do if they get fake PCNs.
