If Asda don't like it maybe they should put restrictions in place to stop it happening, eg. link it to a credit card or whatever.

    The T&Cs state:

"Any household can only claim 10 vouchers in a calendar month.

We will never issue a household with more than £100 of vouchers in a calendar month.

If your claim will take you over the £100 limit per calendar month, you'll receive the balance to bring you up to the £100 limit.

We may withhold or refuse payment and/ or withdraw or suspend the ASDA Price Guarantee (or any part of it) at any time without notice where we suspect fraud, or where vouchers have been incorrectly calculated"

It doesn't appear to exclude picking up other peoples vouchers and doesn't define what constitutes "Fraud" under this promotion.

So, unless they suspect "Fraud" (Which could amount to a libellous accusation given that "Fraud" is not defined!) then I can't see that you have broken the rules.

Where are the T&Cs for this particular promotion?

What about those that pay with cash or their partner paid the shopping on their own card?

Youve only quoted part of the T&C's. Please see the full set posted on page one with the relevant parts highlighted.

If you want to look at the legal route - this could easily be classed as "Fraud by false representation".
    Fraud by false representation

(1)A person is in breach of this section if he—

(a)dishonestly makes a false representation, and

    (b)intends, by making the representation—

(i)to make a gain for himself or another, or

(ii)to cause loss to another or to expose another to a risk of loss.

    (2)A representation is false if—

(a)it is untrue or misleading, and

(b)the person making it knows that it is, or might be, untrue or misleading.
This does infact look to be "Fraud by false representation"

Keyboards with working enter keys can be found in the tech section, downstairs in our asda. :)

I have looked at doing this in the past, picking up receipts but TBH its too much hassle to do it in the first place (even with my own).

There is something faintly desperate about wandering round a supermarket car park looking for discarded receipts.

Given the high prices we are all now paying for our basic foods, how shopping is now costing us about twice what it did a few years ago - I'd say a lot of people are desperate and that any dicsounts no matter how gained are welcomed by those that are desperate.

Perhaps its unfair of some of the above to be so judgemental about it?

Used to do the price match, when we used to get online shopping. You can strike it lucky sometimes and I found one that worked a treat, Don't know if it still works but if it does, they still sell the product and no other company does.

It was on Don Simon 1 litre OJ with bits. It was something like £1.29, but in the price match, it gave me back £3.00 for each one. Used to buy 6 bottles a week, so was getting £10.26 each week back to use on the following weeks shop !

I don't mind people getting the price match when they have actually paid for the initial goods, but it is a bit skanky to be trolling round a car park, looking like a tramp, looking for other peoples receipts !

I would have kicked her ar5e out the door ! lol

Don't shop that much in Asda now, make my mind up when I get in the car on the day. Love shopping in an Independent supermarket up here called E H Booth. Have some lovely stuff, especially the nearly homemade cakes. dear but great stuff and products you don't see in other retailers, especially locally sourced fruit and veg and meat.

Some people pick up receipts in order to steal the corresponding item and have a receipt to refund with. It's no wonder the store doesn't like it.

A former workmate of mine used to wander around the trolley bays in his local Sainsburys looking for receipts where the customer did not have a Nectar card. Made around £300 a year.

I think its great that the op did that, its the same money off, whether the op found the receipt or the original person used the receipt. I would do it. If the supermarkets are that bothered, have someone trawl the car parks picking up litter. If i ever get a voucher that says for example £5.00 off £50 shop, and i know i'm not going to use it, i give it to someone at the supermarket with a large trolly full of food.
