Microsoft Surface, quality issue?

I had my Surface for approx. 1 month. I've never dropped it, knocked it and it was in A1 condition.
I was laying in bed, closed the keyboard against the tablet, as you do, and put it next to me (on the bed). I then, without having moved, picked it up 10 minutes later and the screen had cracked all over. The impact spot was just to the right of the camera and spread left and right and then down and upwards.
Now I didn't close the it particularly hard, or do anything with it that I'd think was out of the ordinary or that I'd done differently in the last month of having it. There were no foreign objects between the keyboard and screen.
Microsoft just say it's screen damage so it's tough. Other than licking my wounds and never buying a Surface ever again (I actually really like using it for work), is there any other option?
I sent it to them and they just sent it back with a standard letter saying that the warranty doesn't cover a cracked screen.

I suppose it might be worth trying the retailer, maybe?"Such an enormous country, you realize when you cross it" - Jack Kerouac0

Like people have said previously, it is recommended you use the native app on your Apple TV. No latency issues, no compatibility issues and it's only going from the Apple TV box to the TV. Nothing in between.
