HBOS acting up!!

So i decided to take the plunge for PPI and ive got a few irons in the fire with several financial institutions 
So i call HBOS and they admit ive had PPI on mortgage\ couple of cards and a loan.
They send me the paperwork and the loan one get bounced so i call them and the story is completely the opposite to my original call and they claim i dont have one now which is frustrating to say the least.( i havent got the paperwork)
Been told to write in for a statement of accounts for me and my wife at all our addresess.
So is this normal behaviour are they playing hardball with me ?

They are saying they have no paperwork. You also have no paperwork.
