TV not working - can I claim?

In short, I've not had a fully functioning TV for the past 4 months after having purchased it in May last year. It has meant that sometimes it has been unwatchable, and sometimes some features were not available. I've had 4 engineer visits - same issues are evident. I've written to the supplier and the manufacturer.
The last 6 or so email have gone unanswered by the supplier - despite my threatening small claims court action. The last email from the manufacturer told me to either have yet another engineer visit (and yet another day off of work) or go legal. One of their staff did tell me via telephone that they would replace the unit - then despite me bringing this up, never responded to it again.
So what do you all recommend? Small claims court? Can I claim for loss of enjoyment for the past 4 months and what sum should I claim?
Thanks.

Your rights are with the retailer so they are the ones you need to be pursuing.
By the sounds of it they are calling your bluff, you've threatened court and not followed through with it. Have you already got your evidence that this is an inherent fault (ie not reasonable wear & tear or caused by missuse)? As its over 6 months old its up to you now to prove it is inherent0
