Cracking known passwords in bulk

I have few hundred files that are password protected. They all support 1 of 3 known passwords. Without having to go through each one, is there a software that will allow inputting the 3 password as a list (Dictionary?) and run those against the files and produce a report of some sort at the end?

Ideally the filename and which password opened the file.

Are they all the same sort, ie all Word files or do you have a range of file types?

Range of types.... ppt, doc, xls, pdf ...

So (may be a stupid question) what utility was used to give these files (of different type) password protection?

No utility from my knowledge. They were all password protecteded over time from the actual software i. E word, excel, PowerPoint etc
