    Will the police do anything?

Is there any criminal activity in updating the telephone number and/or trying to access account?

Why do you have to keep stirring the pot?

    I've been Money Tipped!
He gave her a card for his account.

He didn't cancel her card when they split.

He owed her money and didn't pay her back.

She spent money on the additional card he gave her and hadn't cancelled.

Who do you think is responsible for this whole sorry mess?

Moral of the story: don't cheat on a girlfriend when she has access to your credit card account.

Just ringing Jeremy Kyle he'd love this one...

Is there any chance your BF might still be having it off with the ex? Are you sure? Are you really sure?

She seems to feel bad now, and has offered to pay the minimum instalments, but we have said we want the whole sum by the bill's due date.

You have no powers to compel her to do that.

I think this time he'll have to suck it up. And it would probably be better if you didn't get involved. It's their financial history, not yours, and if you conitnued to insist on things you can't make happen, you may find she'll dig her heels in and pay nothing at all.

Cheater got cheated!! I would tell your boyfriend to chalk it up to "1 all" and learn 2 important lessons.

1: NEVER put anyone as an additional cardholder.
2: Hell has no fury like a woman scorned.

How long ago had he broken up? Surely there was plenty of time to remove her. I'm guessing he can't have split with her and immediately got together with you, because that would be weird.

My boyfriend's ex was an additional card holder (not joint) to his Barclaycard. Presumably as an act of vengeance (he was unfaithful and owes her money) she has run up a debt on such.

It sounds as if they got together before he split up with the ex.
