Spud - I tried but I couldn't get it to work. Hirens is version 15.2 if that helps.
If anyone can giveme any advice (or an idiots guide) to getting the X-Boot USB working on a 2GB stick I'll gladly give it another go.
Found this on my pc, think I wrote it for a post on here.
I've not checked but it looks about right. Could be polished, but it works.I've used an 8GB flash drive, formatted FAT32 and checked that it's set as bootable, I've done this using GParted live CD.
Create a new folder on Desktop, call it HBCD.
 Download Hirens, already done?
It's a zip file, so right click, select 'extract'. Gives Hirens.BootCD15.2 folder. Open it.
 Gives 7 folders/files, one is Hiren'sBootCD.15.2.iso
I opened the .iso using Free Isobuster, gives 5 folders/files.
Double click HBCD folder. Gives 10 folders/files.
Select all 10, using Ctrl + a, right click highlighted area, select 'Extract Objects', then from the folder tree, navigate to the HBCD folder you created on your desktop. Highlight it, click OK.
Then copy the HBCD folder from the desktop to the flash drive.
Run XBoot, drag HirensBootCD.iso (from initial extract) to the XBoot 'add' box, 'identify the ISO' box will pop up.
Use drop down arrow to select 'Add using Grub4dos ISO image Emulation', click 'add this file' box in lower LH corner.
 Click create USB.
Use drop down arrow to select correct drive ---- very important, LOL.
 Confirm/Ensure Syslinux is selected.
 Click OK.
Allow it to work.Move along, nothing to see.0

to add to spud's post above, you can also add Puppy Linux to Hiren's on a 2GB stick, and still just about have room for the Avira RescueCD image
How do I know? 'Coz all three are on my xbooted 2GB stick
All for One.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
