Oh right thanks maybe if I left the tub open for a while the concentration of the smell would exasperate (spl) into the air and not be so noticable after a while I suppose most things smell stronger once sealed up. Thanks for the info.

    Evaporate ? :D

I bought a tub of this last year to try. I figured if it was useless I would give it away.
However its not useless and although its a large expenditure, for this family it was kind if worth it.
I say kind of because one of my kids is allergic to it. However I got round that by buying another box of prudax for that child who does own washing anyway.
But between the 2 boxes we still haven't got to the bottom of either.

I worked out that Kirkland average price per wash was 3p and prudax 7p.

Whichever way you look at it that's cheap. And I still have plenty left in both.

Which if they both last about 8 months ( looking that way) makes the washing powder bill about £32 a year.

Must add the one allergic to it is allergic to lots of other stuff too. In fact its eczema and the oddest things set it off, from Teddy's when younger to certain washing up liquid/shampoo/soap/etc
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥
  • Ooo thanks for that info missprice im hoping none of us will have any reactions to it and as you say its very cost effective if its ok besides if I do have any problems costco will take it back for a full refund so got nothing to lose by trying. I will probably place an order after the easter bank holidsy now but cheers for the reply :)

Yes you are probably right about the smell "venting" to the air if left open. We cannot really do this because of pets, but might try over the weekend.

My machine is a cold fill only would this be ok for this powder or will it cause problems with the powder clumping or going hard in the draw before it gets washed into the main drum of the machine thanks

Sorry I forgot about this thread :o

We tried leaving the lid open for a couple of hours & it did make a bit of difference, but there is still (in our opinion) quite a strong smell when we reopen the lid after it has been closed for a time. HTH

Fairly sure all machines are cold fill theses days, willing to be corrected.

Been using it for about 6 months now and no clumping problems here.

Oh and I gave some to a neighbor to try and she said it smelled like a launderette.
